Working Areas

The case studies conducted within the unit provide an opportunity for cases brought by clinical psychologists to be examined from diverse theoretical and professional perspectives. Through these studies, cases are analyzed not through a single approach alone but within a multifaceted, critical and holistic framework, thereby strengthening professional depth of insight and clinical assessment skills. Each case shared, in adherence to ethical principles, establishes a foundation that supports learning and professional development.

Another significant activity of our unit is the talks held with guests from various disciplines and areas of expertise outside the institution. Through these gatherings, psychology is explored in interaction with fields such as sociology, social work, education, art and related disciplines and current social issues are discussed from a multilayered perspective. In this way, participants develop not only clinical knowledge but also social awareness and interdisciplinary thinking skills.

The Social and Psychological Counseling Unit fundamentally aims to bring diverse perspectives to psychological practice, to encourage critical thinking and to contribute to the dissemination of a holistic understanding in the field of mental health.

Bridging academic knowledge with field experience, our unit continues its efforts toward serving as a platform that both supports professional development and strengthens social sensitivity.
