An International Higher Education Gathering in Glasgow: Our University at EAIE 2026

Our university came together with representatives of universities and higher education institutions from different countries around the world at the EAIE 2026 Conference, one of the major gatherings in the field of international higher education. Held in Glasgow, Scotland, from September 8-11, 2026, the event featured meetings on new academic collaborations and international exchange opportunities.

Our University was represented at the event by our Vice Rector, Prof. Dr. N. Öykü İyigün; our Deputy Secretary-General, Esma Bendez and our International Relations Coordinator, Tuğçe Özkuş.

Coordinated by the Turkish National Agency, EAIE 2026 brought together 96 higher education institutions from Türkiye. Our university took part in the Türkiye Pavilion, establishing direct contact with international higher education stakeholders. The university’s international education opportunities and academic collaboration opportunities were introduced to representatives from different countries.

During the bilateral meetings held throughout the event, student and staff mobility, academic exchange programs and opportunities for inter-institutional cooperation were discussed. In addition to meetings aimed at developing existing collaborations, new cooperation agreements were also signed with different universities.

Our university came together with higher education representatives from different countries at the networking and cooperation meetings and dinner organized by the Turkish National Agency. During these meetings, opportunities for developing joint projects, academic mobility and new cooperation opportunities were discussed.

The new connections established and meetings held as part of EAIE 2026 contributed to our university’s internationalization efforts while providing an important foundation for developing new international education, exchange and cooperation opportunities for students and academic staff.
