Information security is an important element in corporate governance and is closely related to various elements such as information technology security, physical security, risk management, business continuity, compliance with laws and regulations. Therefore, information security is an issue of high priority because it supports various obligations to employees, business partners, customers and society. Haliç University Information Security Technology Program aims to train qualified and equipped professionals needed by companies operating in the fields of information technologies, information security and computer programming. In order to graduate, students studying in this program must have a General Academic Grade Point Average of at least 2.00 out of 4.00 and must meet the minimum success grade/condition determined in accordance with the Haliç University Associate Degree, Undergraduate Education - Training and Examination Regulations in all courses prescribed in the curriculum. The minimum ECTS required for graduation is 120. Students are also required to complete their compulsory internship within the specified period and quality. Students who successfully complete vocational school programs that aim to train qualified manpower, covering at least a two-year program based on secondary education qualifications, and meet the required credit load are entitled to receive an Associate Degree Diploma. |
| Students who graduate from the program can work as system security specialists, IT specialists, system support specialists, system and network consultants, programmers, etc. in all areas where electronic information is valuable, especially in data processing centers and software companies. In order for each student to register for courses at the beginning of the semester and take the final exam, they must have attended at least 70% of the courses and 80% of the practices. Students are subject to at least one midterm and semester exam for each course. Success grade; It is determined by calculating the contribution of the midterm exam (scores obtained from measurement tools such as homework, laboratory exam, practice, etc. can also be evaluated as the midterm exam grade) and the contribution of the final exam. In measuring success in a course; midterm exams, additional exams, field and workplace work, practice, homework, projects, workshops, seminars, continuation, laboratory and similar midterm studies for that course; It constitutes 40% of the course evaluation grade. The types of mid-term studies and the contribution of these and the final exam grade to the course success grade are announced to the students at the beginning of each semester by the instructor teaching the course.
