The aim of our program, which provides education and training at the associate degree level, is to train scientists who have suffi cient knowledge about the technical staff requirements of the sector, who have suffi cient knowledge, skills and the ability to produce theory and practice with them in order to produce solutions in accordance with the conditions of the past, present and future. In addition, one of our main goals as Computer Programming is to train students who are qualifi ed, who follow technological developments, who can actively use them, and who can transfer what they have learned to production. Graduates of the Computer Programming Program receive the title of "Computer Programmer or Computer Technician". Message from the Program Chair The Computer Programming Program was opened in the 2020-21 academic year within the Vocational School of Higher Education and is a department related to software development, computer usage, website content and game development, installation and management of computer networks. In this program, Algorithm and Programming basics, computer hardware, innovation, visual programming, database, web design basics, internet programming, object-oriented programming, network basics, operating systems, business management and quality assurance and standards and graduation project courses are within the scope of the main courses for professional qualifi cation. Our curriculum has a modular structure in accordance with the undergraduate programs and our students are provided with the opportunity to receive education under the same academic roof as undergraduate students. This structure consists of theoretical and applied courses and summer internships, which we call practical studies. Our students take theoretical courses in their own classrooms and practical courses in the laboratories of our school. Candidates who complete this two-year program can transfer to 4-year programs such as Computer Engineering, Computer Technology and Information Systems, Computer and Information Systems, Computer and Information Systems, Computer and Instructional Technology Teaching, Computer and Software Engineering, Computer Informatics, Information Systems Engineering, Information Systems and Technologies, Information Systems and Technologies, Information Technologies, Physics, Statistics, Statistics and Computer Science, Control Engineering, Control and Automation Engineering, Mathematics Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science, Mathematics-Computer, Meteorological Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Software Engineering Programs. Graduates of the program can make their own initiatives as well as; public and private sector organizations, data processing, software, hardware, communication networks or maintenance and repair services will be able to fi ll the need for IT personnel. |

Our graduates can be employed as computer programmer, system support staff, computer trainer, software specialist, software tester, application programmer, network manager, analyst programmer, technical consultant, web designer, internet programmer, software coordinator, data preparation and control operator and project manager in the software or data processing departments of companies and companies in the IT sector with the title of "Computer Programmer or Computer Technician". Our graduates can work as technicians, technical support specialists, system specialists, sales specialists, software specialists, software specialists and mid-level managers in the project design, installation, operation, technical services, software and web design companies of information technologies and infrastructure of all institutions and organizations, especially communication and financial institutions. In addition, they can also establish their own business and operate in the IT sector. |

The passing grade for all courses is set at 50 out of 100. Relative or absolute evaluation system is used in the calculation of the students' success grade. The relevant board of directors decides which evaluation system will be used before the start of the academic year. The conversion table prepared by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) is used for the conversion between 4-point and 100-point grading systems. |
