Our University and Moodist Private Hospital Sign Strategic Collaboration Agreement

Haliç University and Moodist Private Hospital have signed a comprehensive Strategic Cooperation Protocol that brings together academic knowledge and clinical expertise. The collaboration aims to facilitate joint initiatives in education, professional practice, research, technology, and media.

Under the protocol, our students will have the opportunity to undertake internships and practical training across various departments at Moodist. Moodist employees and their immediate family members will also be eligible for special discounts on selected postgraduate programs offered by Haliç University.

Practice-Based Learning in Psychology Education

One of the key initiatives within the collaboration is the planned establishment of the “Mood Haliç Lab-Psychology Applications Laboratory” at Haliç University. The laboratory is intended to support the practical application of theoretical coursework, academic research, R&D and product development activities, clinical observation and supervision processes, as well as mental health initiatives for students.

By bringing together the clinical expertise of Moodist professionals and the academic knowledge of Haliç University faculty members, the laboratory will provide students with opportunities to strengthen their theoretical knowledge through hands-on practice.

Scientific Psychology Content with “Mind and Behavior 101+”

As part of the protocol, the “Mind and Behavior 101+” content series will be launched to examine psychology-related concepts commonly used in everyday life from a scientific perspective.

The series will feature academics from Haliç University’s Department of Psychology alongside Moodist clinicians. Topics will include psychological content on social media, the use of terms such as “toxic relationship” and “narcissist,” the growing tendency toward self-diagnosis, AI-supported therapy applications and cognitive biases.

Bringing Artificial Intelligence and Mental Health Together

Within the technology and research dimension of the collaboration, the partners aim to develop an AI-Integrated Mental Health Early Warning System (RUS). The project is planned to include several stages, such as clinical needs assessment, prototype development, clinical validation and user testing.

Studies will also be conducted to explore the integration of the system with Haliç University’s mobile application, while ensuring compliance with ethical principles and regulations concerning the protection of personal data.

As part of the collaboration, joint programs will also be developed for Haliç Radio on topics such as psychological resilience, sleep hygiene, relationship psychology, addiction, anxiety among young people and digital mental health. In addition, video content, podcasts and article series are planned to be produced.

Through this strategic cooperation between Haliç University and Moodist Hospital, academic knowledge, clinical expertise and innovative technologies will be brought together to develop initiatives that create sustainable value for students, academics and society.
