The 2026 list of the “World’s Most Influential Scientists,” compiled through a collaboration between Stanford University and Elsevier, has been published. Based on international citation data, the list includes four academics from our University.
In the database developed under the leadership of Prof. John P. A. Ioannidis of Stanford University and published by Elsevier, our Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Salaheddine Bendak; Assoc. Prof. Alireza Souri from the Department of Computer Engineering; Asst. Prof. Mostafa Habibi from the Department of Mechanical Engineering; and Prof. Dr. Dursun Delen from the Department of Management Information Systems at the Faculty of Business Administration were included in the Single-Year Impact category.
Assoc. Prof. Alireza Souri, Asst. Prof. Mostafa Habibi, and Prof. Dr. Dursun Delen were also included in the Career-Long Impact category.
The study evaluates researchers’ scientific impact using international citation data and indicators reflecting citation counts, publication performance, and the impact of scientific research. The Career-Long Impact category reflects academics’ impact throughout their careers, while the Single-Year Impact category reflects their performance during the relevant evaluation period.
