Each student must register for courses at the beginning of the semester and must have attended at least 70% of the lectures and at least 80% of the practical sessions in order to be eligible to take the final exam. Students are required to take at least one midterm exam and one final exam for each course. The final grade is determined by calculating the contribution of the midterm exam (grades obtained from assessment tools such as assignments, lab exams, practicals, etc. may also be included in the midterm grade) and the contribution of the final exam. In measuring success in a course, midterm exams, additional exams, field and workplace work, practical work, assignments, projects, workshops, seminars, attendance, laboratory work, and similar midterm activities related to that course may be evaluated. The types of mid-term activities, their contribution to the course grade, and the contribution of the final exam grade are announced to students by the instructor at the beginning of each semester. The grades for all mid-term activities and final exams related to the courses are announced. In order for a student to be considered successful at the end of the semester, the average of their midterm and final exams (as well as any additional exams, field and workplace work, practical work, assignments, projects, workshops, seminars, attendance, laboratory work, and similar activities) must be 50 points out of 100. Students who do not take midterm exams (vize) without any valid reason will not be allowed to take the final exam, as per the guidelines. |
