The two-year Foreign Trade Programme aims to equip students with the knowledge, skills and competencies required for global trade. Based at Haliç University's Vocational School, the programme began accepting students in the 2025-2026 academic year. The programme lasts two years and is taught in Turkish.
Through an interdisciplinary approach, the programme covers the economic, financial, legal and political dimensions of foreign trade, training students in areas such as economics, general accounting, foreign trade transactions, international political economy, marketing and customs procedures. This prepares them for roles in both the public and private sectors. Additionally, the programme's content focused on international relations contributes to an understanding of the geopolitical and diplomatic dimensions of foreign trade, in addition to the economic ones. The program, in addition to theoretical knowledge, equips students with the ability to think analytically, use foreign trade documents accurately, and manage foreign trade operations at both national and international levels. One of the graduation requirements is a mandatory 30-day summer internship in the sector. Through this internship, students gain experience of working in foreign trade companies, customs consultancies, logistics companies and public institutions, and can observe foreign trade operations first-hand. This allows them to integrate the theoretical knowledge acquired during the learning process with professional practice. Graduates of the program may, through the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS) in the fields determined by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), transfer to four-year undergraduate programs such as Banking, Banking and Insurance, Labour Economics and Industrial Relations, Economics, Economics and Finance, Finance and Banking, Business Administration, Logistics Management, Capital Markets, Political Science and International Relations, International Finance, International Finance and Banking, International Relations, International Business Management, International Trade, International Trade and Finance, International Trade and Management, International Trade and Logistics. Additionally, provided they pass the DGS, students may transfer to four-year undergraduate programs in Open Education Faculties in fields such as Labor Economics and Industrial Relations, Economics, Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, International Logistics, Political Science and Public Administration, International Relations, International Trade and Logistics, Public Relations and Advertising, Public Relations and Promotion, Aviation Management.

Students must take at least one midterm and one final exam for each course. The midterm exam contributes 40% to the final grade, while the final exam contributes 60%. Scores obtained from assessment tools such as assignments and quizzes may also be considered. All exams are graded on a 100-point scale. Students who receive a grade of AA, BA, BB, CB or CC in a course are considered to have passed it. (DC) and (DD) are conditional passing grades. Relative or absolute grading systems are used to calculate students' grades. The relevant administrative board decides which system to use before the start of the academic year.
