The primary objective of the program is to ensure that students become competent "Ambulance and Emergency Care Technicians"—professionals who act in accordance with ethical principles and serve as a key link in the chain of survival. These technicians are equipped to provide immediate intervention for critically ill or injured patients, deliver basic and advanced life support, recognize various forms of systemic trauma and medical conditions to implement appropriate emergency care, and constitute a vital component of pre-hospital emergency services.
Message from the Program Head
Dear Students, Emergency health services have undergone significant development in our country, just as they have globally, over the past 20 years. The transformations in ambulance services and the 112 emergency response system have created a demand for healthcare personnel equipped with the necessary medical knowledge to work in ambulances. At the Haliç University First and Emergency Aid Program, we provide innovative education through a curriculum—designed in accordance with national and international professional standards—that emphasizes both theoretical and practical training. Throughout the educational process, we facilitate practical training opportunities in collaboration with emergency health service providers, particularly public institutions and private organizations. Our primary goal is to train qualified and competent "Ambulance and Emergency Care Technicians" to serve in the field of emergency health services—a sector of growing importance. We aim to cultivate professionals who possess high-level knowledge and skills, excel at teamwork, handle critical situations effectively, act responsibly and in accordance with professional ethics, and are ready for employment in both the public and private sectors. If you wish to have the privilege of being a life-saving helping hand—providing physical and psychological support during the most critical moments of human life—we would be delighted to welcome you to our program. Asst. Prof. Dr. Derya KAYA |
