About The Program

In order to graduate from the program, students are required not only to successfully complete all courses but also to undertake a mandatory 30-business-day summer internship. Through this practical training, students have the opportunity to directly experience innovations in the sector and apply their knowledge in real working environments. In this way, they are able to enhance their skills on digital platforms and strengthen their professional competence.

Students are eligible for graduation upon successfully completing all compulsory and elective courses included in the curriculum, provided that they have completed the internship requirement and meet a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.00 and 120 ECTS credits.
Graduates of this program may be employed in e-commerce websites, retail and wholesale companies, digital marketing agencies, advertising and media organizations, as well as marketing and sales departments of corporate companies. They may also take roles in areas such as social media management, content creation, brand management, and customer relationship management.

Graduates may work in positions such as assistant e-commerce specialist, assistant digital marketing specialist, social media specialist, content manager, customer relations representative, and sales and marketing support staff. In addition, they have the opportunity to enter the sector as entrepreneurs by establishing their own e-commerce ventures.

Students who register for a course at the beginning of the semester are required to attend at least 70% of theoretical lectures and at least 80% of practical classes in order to be eligible to take the final examination. Students are assessed through at least one midterm exam and one final exam for each course. The midterm exam (which may include assessment tools such as assignments, laboratory exams, quizzes, etc.) contributes 40% to the final grade, while the final exam contributes 60%. All exams are graded on a scale of 100 points.
Students who receive one of the letter grades AA, BA, BB, CB, or CC are considered to have successfully passed the course. Grades of DC and DD are considered conditionally passed.
The evaluation of student achievement is based on either a relative or an absolute grading system. The determination of which system will be used is decided by the relevant board of directors prior to the beginning of the academic year. For the conversion between the 4.0 and 100-point grading systems, the conversion table prepared by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) is used.
