HEPPTEST Exam (February 4-5, 2026)

Dear Students,

On February 4-5, 2026, a placement / proficiency exam will be held for students who have enrolled in the English department with lateral transfer or who have newly registered to our school. Only newly registered students will be able to take this exam.

Exam Information

Time: 10.30
Location: 2nd Block Classrooms (5th and 6th floors)

Classes can be checked from the exam place list on the 4th floor notice boards.

Exam Dates

February 4, 2026 (Test + Writing Exam)
February 5, 2026 (Speaking Exam)

Information About Test Format

The exam consists of a total of 100 questions and includes 4 main sections:

  1. Listening-20 questions
  2. Reading-20 questions
  3. Vocabulary-20 questions
  4. Grammar-40 questions

The Exam Application Form link will close on February 3 at 13.00. Once you have completed and saved the form, you will not receive any confirmation email/message.

Exam Rules to be Applied in Haliç University Academic Units

Each student must take the exams with a valid ID card with a Student ID Card or a photo with TR Identity Number. ID cards must be left on the desk until the end of the exam.

At the beginning of the exam, by the relevant student, with a ballpoint pen at the top of the question and answer sheets; name-surname, TR Identity number must be written and signed. The optical form must be filled in with a pencil.

The seating arrangement in the exam hall is provided by the examiners. Everyone has to follow the warnings of the officials.

After the exam starts, you can enter the class only 20 minutes later (after the Listening part of the exam is over). It is strictly forbidden to take the exam after the first ten minutes after the end of the listening part.

It is forbidden to leave the exam hall in the first 20 minutes after the exam starts and in the last 15 minutes of the exam.

Unclear issues about the exam can be asked to the examiners in the first 5 minutes. Questions cannot be asked later in order not to disturb the concentration of other students taking the exam.

Digital materials (mobile phones, calculators, smart watches, etc.) are considered as direct cheating grounds. For this reason, digital materials cannot be kept open. It cannot be stored above or below the row.

All kinds of course materials cannot be kept below or above the desk. Course materials and digital devices should be kept away from the desk during the exam. The bottom and top of the desk must be kept empty.

During the exam; Talking to someone else, looking, all kinds of shopping are prohibited and require copying treatment.

The student who completes the exam must sign the exam report, in which the number of documents will be written, with a ballpoint pen while submitting the exam documents.
