About The Program

The English Industrial Engineering Program operates with the vision of being an outstanding and competitive program that trains nationally and internationally recognized researchers, creative, innovative, entrepreneurial and pioneering engineers. The mission of the program is to train our students as innovative, solution-oriented, qualified, preferred and self-confident Industrial Engineers with problem-solving skills, within the framework of professional ethics, in order to be beneficial individuals for our country and humanity in all respects.

Industrial Engineering is a branch of engineering that takes place in production and service processes and deals with the organization, optimization and management of the matrix of people, machines, methods, materials, information, energy, economy, competition, technology and innovation.

The main professional aim is to continuously improve the processes related to products and services and to find the most suitable solutions by realizing efficiency, productivity, flexibility, sensitivity and accordingly profitability and high quality. In this context, Industrial Engineering is one of the rare professions that can identify and solve problems by bringing together all the components in today's advanced technology world.

Undergraduate education of the Industrial Engineering Program in English; In addition to basic sciences, social sciences, management and communication sciences, within the scope of engineering courses, computer programming, optimization, simulation, operations research techniques, information systems, statistics, decision making methods, production planning, control and management, project management and innovation management. It covers disciplines that are constantly updated according to their needs. Real problems that may be encountered in the industry and service sector are solved by transferring current issues to students with computer support and using case study methods in addition. Students are expected to complete their application projects and homework, complete their internships, and successfully complete and present their Graduation Projects in the last academic year.

In order to meet the needs of the product and service sectors in the new century, our graduates are trained in logistics, finance, banking, insurance, health, marketing, sales, purchasing, human resources, quality, product and process development, R&D, in all sectors that produce products and services. they can work in the fields of innovation applications and knowledge management. In addition, they can work as Industrial Engineers in the design, planning, establishment, operation and management of integrated systems and processes involving human, machine, method, material, order, information, informatics, innovation and technology.

English Industrial Engineering Program students; 

  • General engineering knowledge,
  • Management field knowledge (Engineering Management, Economics, Finance, Communication, Reporting, Law, etc.),
  • Professional basic knowledge (Operation Research, Production, Planning, System Analysis, Innovation, Project, Quality, etc.),
  • Professional skills (Laboratory and Software Applications)

consists of rewarding courses. In addition to the compulsory courses, it will be possible to specialize in certain subjects by taking various elective courses both for general purposes, that is, outside the field, and for the profession, that is, within the field. The duration of the program is four years, and for graduation at the end of the program, it is mandatory for each student to complete and submit a Graduation Project, which includes defining, analyzing and solving a real-life problem in which they will apply the subjects learned during the four years. The total ECTS of the English Industrial Engineering Department Curriculum is 240. On the other hand, summer internships are required at the end of the 4th and 6th semesters.

The Department of Industrial Engineering was established within the Faculty of Engineering in the 2007-2008 academic year. As of the 2009-2010 academic year, graduate education activities were started.

In our department, taking advantage of the strong teaching infrastructure of our university; Versatile engineers are trained, who ensure the efficient use of resources such as people, technology, information, time, money, raw materials and energy, and who work to improve the quality of the work done. In this context. In addition to mathematics, basic engineering and computer science education, Industrial Engineering Undergraduate Program students receive education in operations research, simulation, engineering economics, financial management, production management, quality management, facility planning, information technologies and human resources management. The language of instruction of the program is English.

The students of the department have the opportunity to put their theoretical knowledge into practice and gain experience for business life with the compulsory internships they do in national or multinational companies in Turkey or abroad during the summer period. Students benefit from Enterprise Resource Planning, Simulation, Engineering Drawing, Object Oriented Programming, and Ergonomics-Work Study laboratories to realize applications within the scope of basic engineering sciences.

Students of our department can participate in educational activities at European universities with the Erasmus exchange program. Our double major and minor programs can be offered in a wide variety of departments in order to provide our students with more options and enrich their future careers. We have double major and minor programs among many fields within the Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Arts and Sciences and Faculty of Business.
Our students who have successfully completed the Department of Industrial Engineering (English) are awarded a Bachelor's Degree.
Placement is made according to the numerical score type from the Undergraduate Placement Exam conducted by the Student Selection and Placement Center (OSYM).
After graduating from the bachelor's degree, they can continue their Master's and Doctoral programs.

a) With the success of the obligations stipulated by the education and training program in which they are registered
