Information that can be accessed and published anywhere at any time thanks to the developments in communication technologies and systems; creates new communication environments and these environments cause economic, political, social and cultural transformations in different forms globally. One of the sectors that has a place in our lives among these transformations and is increasing its importance day by day is digital games.
With the development of mobile platforms and internet technologies, computer games have become quite widespread in our country as well as all over the world, and have become a popular medium consumed by large masses regardless of gender and age.
New areas of expertise are needed in order to take part in these transformations as active individuals, to prevent exposure to negative effects, to direct and analyze them. The Digital Game Design Undergraduate Program aims to train creative media specialists who have mastered the technical and aesthetic language of new media tools, who can use audio-visual and interactive media consciously, who are aware of their ethical responsibilities.
During the four-year undergraduate program, the curriculum prepared in the vocational and academic department, which offers its students a synthesis of applied and theoretical knowledge from the basics to the most advanced level, has been prepared in harmony with the Digital Game Design departments in different countries abroad.
Thanks to the theoretical and practical courses they take in areas such as digital publishing, digital society, design, and social media, students can have information about the multi-disciplinary structure of communication, and evaluate cultural and social life critically. Thanks to the knowledge and skills they have acquired, students, with their qualifications in new communication technologies; they gain the opportunity to work in many fields in the communication sector such as online journalism, advertising, mobile marketing, social media. |
