Industrial Engineering is a branch of engineering that takes place in production and service processes and deals with the organization, optimization and management of the matrix of people, machines, methods, materials, information, energy, economy, competition, technology and innovation.
The main professional aim is to continuously improve the processes related to products and services and to find the most suitable solutions by realizing efficiency, productivity, flexibility, sensitivity and accordingly profitability and high quality. In this context, Industrial Engineering is one of the rare professions that can identify and solve problems by bringing together all the components in today's advanced technology world.
Undergraduate education of the Industrial Engineering Program in English; In addition to basic sciences, social sciences, management and communication sciences, within the scope of engineering courses, computer programming, optimization, simulation, operations research techniques, information systems, statistics, decision making methods, production planning, control and management, project management and innovation management. It covers disciplines that are constantly updated according to their needs. Real problems that may be encountered in the industry and service sector are solved by transferring current issues to students with computer support and using case study methods in addition. Students are expected to complete their application projects and homework, complete their internships, and successfully complete and present their Graduation Projects in the last academic year.
In order to meet the needs of the product and service sectors in the new century, our graduates are trained in logistics, finance, banking, insurance, health, marketing, sales, purchasing, human resources, quality, product and process development, R&D, in all sectors that produce products and services. they can work in the fields of innovation applications and knowledge management. In addition, they can work as Industrial Engineers in the design, planning, establishment, operation and management of integrated systems and processes involving human, machine, method, material, order, information, informatics, innovation and technology.

In addition to the compulsory courses, it will be possible to specialize in certain subjects by taking various elective courses both for general purposes, that is, outside the field, and for the profession, that is, within the field. The duration of the program is four years, and for graduation at the end of the program, it is mandatory for each student to complete and submit a Graduation Project, which includes defining, analyzing and solving a real-life problem in which they will apply the subjects learned during the four years. The total ECTS of the English Industrial Engineering Department Curriculum is 240. On the other hand, summer internships are required at the end of the 4th and 6th semesters. |
