Applied Education and Internship Rudiments
HALİÇ UNIVERSITY INTERNSHIP RUDIMENTS
1Students who have completed the faculty/vocational school's first semester (fall) of the first year can start their traineeship in the second semester (spring). It is held in fall, spring, and summer terms according to the academic calendar and applied courses in the departments' curriculum.
2In order for students to graduate, it is imperative for them to complete all their traineeships during their education.
3Students who have completed the 2nd semester of the 1st year of the faculties/vocational schools can do their practices domestically or abroad during the summer semesters according to the periods in the curriculum of the departments.
4Students make their practice in institutions determined by the relevant unit or found by themselves. However, if the student finds the institution where he/she will practice, practice commission of the relevant unit decides on the suitability of the application place and if the institution demands a fee, this fee is covered by the student.
5The activities of the place where the student will practice should be in accordance with the curriculum content of the department and the student should be able to improve their manners and skills.
6 6 Postgraduate students in the Department of Psychology find the clinical field study (practice area) themselves and the relevant department's practice commission decides on the suitability of the practice place. If the institution demands a fee, the fee is covered by the student.
7Students who want to practice abroad can perform this activity with ERASMUS Traineeship Programs, other Exchange and Traineeship Applications provided by International Intermediaries, or with their personal opportunities. Students can practice with the institutions and methods mentioned above. However, the practice made abroad can be substitutionary to the practice in the curriculum with the decision of the Board of Directors of the relevant academic unit.
8After graduating from vocational high schools, working days in these institutions are not considered practice for students who have worked in public or private institutions or organizations related to their profession and started their undergraduate education.
9The traineeships of students who continue their undergraduate education in a different field after graduating from the Vocational School are not accepted.
10For students who still study at our university and want to substitute their working time in the company they work at for practice/summer practice (except for Health Programs), their practice will only be accepted if they receive written approval from the relevant faculty/vocational school administration on the Compulsory Practice and Traineeship Form, in the form of "The student is still working in a job and position directly related to their field of education." The "Work Accident and Occupational Disease Insurance" required for students in this situation is provided by Haliç University.
11 "Work Accident and Occupational Disease Insurance" for the practices made in the Fall, Semester Break, Spring, and Summer terms are provided by the University.
12"Work Accident and Occupational Disease Insurance" is applied to intern students in accordance with subparagraph (b) of the first paragraph of Article 5 of Law No. 5510. General health insurance provisions are also applied to those students who are not dependents. Premiums to be paid within the scope of this paragraph are covered by higher education institutions in accordance with subparagraph (e) of the first paragraph of Article 87 of Law No. 5510.
13 The university pays the insurance premiums to the Social Security Institution according to the rates determined by the Social Security Institution.
14In order to carry out insurance transactions, the necessary documents must be submitted 15 days in advance. It is not possible for the students whose documents are not delivered to start their internships, as insurance transactions cannot be made. In this case, the internships of the students are not accepted.
15The University cannot be held responsible for those who start their internship "without insurance" without giving information.
16
"Work Accident and Occupational Disease Insurance" is the responsibility of the student in the clinic/field practices to be made abroad
17
After the student starts the practice, no change can be made in the place of practice. However, those who request a change in place of practice or settlement at least 3 weeks before the practice starts, can apply to the Applied Education and Internship Coordinatorship with a petition.
18
The procedures and principles regarding applied education in case of natural disasters such as earthquakes, fires, floods, legal strikes, lockouts, general epidemics, war, partial or general mobilization announcements, and similar force majeure are determined by the Council of Higher Education.
19
After choosing the applied course, the student is required to notify the Applied Education and Internship Coordinatorship with a letter stating the dropping out of the course during the add-drop period. The student is responsible for the problems caused by not being notified.
