Haliç University graduates came together at the "Graduate Reunion" event organized on our campus. In the program attended by our Rector Prof. Dr. Nihat İnanç and Dean of Student Affairs Prof. Dr. Sami Şener, the graduates were informed about the innovations of the university and had pleasant conversations remembering their student days.
The Alumni Meeting started with the speeches of our Rector Prof. Dr. Nihat İnanç. Prof. Dr. İnanç expressed his pleasure to welcome the graduates back to the campus and emphasized that such connections with the graduates are an important part of the university culture.
Prof. Dr. İnanç stated that they expect graduates to keep their connections with their universities and said, "We expect you to contribute to the adaptation of our new graduates to business life, institutional contributions and communication."
The event continued with the speech of Prof. Dr. Sami Şener, Dean of Student Affairs. Prof. Dr. Şener pointed out that the continuation of our graduates' relations with the university will strengthen academic and social solidarity:
During the program, the graduates shared their unforgettable memories of their university years and took a journey into the past.
Niler Türkcan and Demet Güngör, 2019 graduates of the Department of English Translation and Interpreting, stated that they studied in the same semester but lost contact after graduation. They expressed their happiness that this meeting made their paths cross again after a long time.
Özdenur Şentürk, our 2018 graduate from the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, mentioned that they helped village schools in Bartın and Trabzon thanks to the Volunteering Club during their university years. Together with 60 students, they carried out these aid activities in solidarity and she mentioned these activities among the most unforgettable memories of her university life.
Burak Arslan, our 2018 Psychology Department graduate, emphasized the impact of Haliç University's strong academic staff on his career. He made a suggestion to add sector-oriented content to the course curriculum in order to better prepare students for the sector.
In the closing part of the event, ideas were exchanged between graduates and members of the university for future collaborations.
